INFO PAGE

Grand Marais is in the north central part of the upper peninsula of Michigan. We are located on the southern shore of Lake Superior midway between Sault Ste. Marie and Marquette. To get to town you turn north off M-28 at Seney on M-77 and drive 25 miles to Grand Marais.

We are at the eastern end of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We have a natural harbor which is  the only safe harbor between Whitefish Point and Munising for when Lake Superior starts to get rough.

We are a year round community, with a gas station, grocery store, restaurants and lodging available, just don't look for a stop light!  The nearest one is 100 miles away and we like it that way!
