OBITUARIES

Wanda Lou Dorse, 79, of Grand Marais, died Wednesday evening January 3, 2007 at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital in Newberry.

   Born December 5, 1927 in Prospect, Indiana, daughter of the late Harry E. & Grace H. (McDonald) Williams, Wanda Lou married Robert E. Dorse April 3, 1943 in Bowling Green, Ohio.  A resident of Waterford, MI for several years, Wanda Lou was employed at St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac until her retirement in 1983.  Following her retirement, she moved to Grand Marais where she was a year round resident and a volunteer pre-school teacher at Burt Township School.

   Besides her parents, Wanda Lou is preceded in death by her son Robert and brother Ray. 

   Survivors include her loving husband Robert of Grand Marais; children Marsha (Roger) Loop of Red Lion, PA, Louanne Makahn of Milford, NH and Yvonne (Michael) Hubbard of Imlay City, MI; 12 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Cremation services were accorded with no public services scheduled.
